Hunting with Dogs The legislation to ban hunting came into effect on 18th February 2005. POWA has continued to campaign since that date to ensure the law is upheld. From observing hunts, to providing briefings for Members of Parliament, to ensuring antisocial hunt misdemeanours are kept in the public eye, POWA keeps the pressure on hunters to act within the law, and continues to assist the police in enforcing the ban.
